Meet two women driving toward their goals with Amazon Flex

In recognition of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women who deliver with Amazon Flex. We’re thrilled to introduce you to two of these women, and tell you about the goals they’re driving toward and the women who inspire them.

Who are the most inspirational women to you?

“My mother is one, and I’ve had good role models on both sides of my family. One of my aunts was an original women’s advocate, and she recycled well before it was a thing. I also admire Eleanor Roosevelt, because she championed social services for everyone, as well as women’s rights.”

What makes Amazon Flex a good fit for your life?

“Amazon Flex keeps me active and fit. I’ve also always enjoyed driving, starting with Sunday afternoon rides that I used to take with my mom, aunt, and daughter. I like getting out and driving on roads I would never have found otherwise, seeing incredible views, and talking to people. I retired after 43 years in nursing, so Amazon Flex really helps with discretionary spending. It helps pay for trips to see my three grandsons and lets me give a bit more back to my community through donations.”

What advice do you have for fellow delivery partners?

“When it’s safe to do so, look at the navigation line in the Amazon Flex app navigation screen, rather than just listen to the voice directions. It’s sometimes the best way to know what’s up ahead and which way to turn.”

Who are the most inspirational women to you?

“My mother and grandmother are the most inspirational women to me. They work hard every day to provide for their families.”

What makes Amazon Flex a good fit for your life?

“I’m 26 with three children, and Amazon Flex is perfect for our always changing schedules. It’s also not too time consuming, so I can be present for my children and not always have my head in work. A goal I’m working towards is giving my mother and grandmother the vacation they deserve, and also buying a home for my family.”

What advice do you have for fellow delivery partners?

“Be respectful and considerate of people and their properties.”
