The Amazon Community Delivery program pays Amazon Flex delivery partners like you to create a positive impact by delivering meals and supplies from food banks and other local nonprofit organizations to those in need. Since we launched the program in 2020, you have helped deliver more than 45 million meals across 24 states, from thousands of nonprofit organizations.

Your Community Deliveries have helped people with disabilities, vulnerable seniors, individuals without transportation, communities with language barriers, and more, get access to food and other necessities. For example, in Washington State residents have relied on the partnership between the United Way King County nonprofit and Community Delivery since the start of the pandemic. Through this, you have now delivered over 1.8 million meals to more than 4,000 families across greater Seattle, helping to fight hunger in the area. You can see more in this video:

How to get involved in Community Delivery

You are paid for Community Delivery blocks just like any other delivery block—and the nonprofit and the people receiving the deliveries get the service free of charge. When available, you can find Community Delivery blocks alongside regular blocks in the Offers section of the Amazon Flex app. The opportunities include the word “Community” in the block name or have an “R” at the beginning of the site code.

Once you schedule a Community Delivery block, you will be directed to the community pick-up location, which will be different than Amazon sites. Community sites are usually food banks or warehouses, so the pickup process can take place in parking lots, alleyways, or other open areas on the property. Look for an Amazon flag when you arrive, and staff members from the organization will assist with loading your car and directing traffic. You do not need to scan packages, since they do not have barcodes. If you run into any issues while doing a Community Delivery, you can contact driver support in the Amazon Flex app.

We’re incredibly grateful to the thousands of delivery partners who have supported the Community Delivery program and look forward to seeing the impact continue to grow.
